#EndHunger Project in Kwara State

The need to give back to the environment is inevitable. Through our journey through life, we are met with different people for different reasons and through different seasons. Some people help us grow while some have their presence being infinitesimally inconsequential.
There are a million and one quotes about giving and I'm not about to post any of them that you might expect me to quote here. The quote that caught my mind now is " Don't give a man fish...Teach him to fish".
The process of teaching and education is an interesting one. Teaching describes the process of transferring knowledge and ideas from one person to another. When we teach, we should understand that we don't only teach the theory or concept. We teach of who we are, we teach by who we are.
Who are we? Are we meant to be entities that are in competition with itself or with others? Or are we meant to be lighting bulbs, coal of fire, iron that sharpens other irons? I recently posted on Facebook that:

"Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet. Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich...the abuse of religion keeps the rich acting without conscience. You're not RICH when everyone around you is poor..."

Don't forget the quote of teaching a man to fish instead of giving him fish.
Assuming all there was to eat is fish.
Would we withhold fishes to others because we want to teach them to fish? What would they eat while learning to become fishermen?
As much as I agree to the fact that giving people fishes without teaching them to fish will cause them to be lazy and laid back.
How beautiful would it be to give people fish, teach them to fish and make them also restart the cycle of giving and teaching others to fish.
After all, Life is about cycle!
