OCI NIGERIA VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

The international volunteers day for Economic and Social Development, more commonly referred to as International Volunteer Day (IVD) is an international observance mandated by the UN general assembly in 1985. The aim is to promote volunteerism, encourage government to support volunteer efforts and recognize volunteer contributions to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals at local, national and international levels.

We at OCI Nigeria recognize that our volunteers have played a great part in ensuring that our activities throughout the year were properly planned and executed. From placing calls to organizing people and resources, to teaching and giving talks. They gave their all to what they do.

Their enthusiasm and commitment to touching lives is remarkable. Each person with his and her beautiful heart and generous souls have helped us make our world a more beautiful place through their involvement in our projects.

In order to celebrate our volunteers as our yearly custom is, we organized a volunteer appreciation event which was meant to be a fun gathering. The aim is to have some fun time together, network and evaluate our events for the year and plan for the following year! It’s a time for food, fun and games.
This year we had our Volunteer appreciation hangout in 4 different states: Abuja, Kano, Lagos and Ilorin.

Abuja and Kano Hangout took place on 7th December while Lagos and Ilorin had theirs on the14th of December.

We heartily welcome new volunteers onboard. Click here https://youtu.be/P_XZE3YEwM8  to watch excerpts of the volunteer hangout.

We wish you the best of the new year.
