EARTH HOUR

The Earth Hour, a campaign by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is dated as far back as 2004. The world wide event takes place annually, entails the encouragement of communities, households, and individuals to turn off their non essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m on the last saturday in March as a symbol of their commitment to the planet.

The 2014 Earth Hour was on the 29th of March, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m in the local time of all countries, with 162 countries and about 7000 cities and towns.

The standard Earth Hour '60' logo represents the 60 minutes of Earth Hour where we focus on the impact we are having on our planet and take positive action to address the environmental issues we face.

I look forward to Earth Hour 2015 which will be on Saturday, March 28, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. during participants' local time
