KWASU-CEERMS place importance on practicals, especially community based projects. This is to ensure the bringing up of graduates who can stand on their own, especially after completing a basic academic degree.
"What is the use of any degree if there is no linkage with helping the human race? Nonesense! Why then do we complain about the rate of unemployment? The average graduate does not know what to use his/her degree for in the real world." - Dr Henry Sawyerr (Director, CEERMS)
In the light of this, the 500 Level students of  KWASU-CEERMS, under the supervision of Ms Olulegan; CLTS Trainer, has embarked on a series on community based projects with emphasis on CLTS (Community Led Total Sanitation) with the aim of contributing their quota at making lives easier for people in their environments.

The people of Opolo community are very friendly, receptive to change and has however, pledged to adhere to a culture and lifestyle of an ODF (Open Defecation Free) Status from now, henceforth and this has brought about the construction of a twin toilet ( for male and female).
