Thoughts of the #EndHungerProject III

As the third edition of the #EndHungerProject draws near, I cannot but be filled with thoughts.

Thoughts of...

1. Gratitude: the past #EndHungerProjects have been absolutely amazing and I cannot but smile when I think about all the preparations, plannings and prayers put into the previous projects. The very first project was a leap of faith for me as I got to the point where I made the decision that I will not be afraid to try nor to fail. For everyone who nurses the fear of failure will eventually be afraid to try and trust me, that person has already chosen to fail by default. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet new people, to know that there are people who are on their beds tonight unaware of the fact that we will be visiting soon to put smiles on their faces. I am grateful to God for all those who parted with their resources, the comfort of their homes to be part of all the previous projects. Thank you all.

2. Supplication: just as one of my mentors (Pastor Muyiwa Areo) has taught me, I have been full of prayers to all those who desire to be part of the previous projects that God blesses them enough to be able to give out of the abundance they have in their possession, Amen. I pray that for all those who have given at one time or the other, to find consistent help in their times of need, that they reap multiple fold for that which they have given. I pray for these and much more.

3. Joy: the #EndHungerProjects cuts across just the distribution of foodstuffs to the inhabitants of rural communities. Another one of my mentors (Hon. Kevin) always says, "the essence of living is in bringing joy into the lives of others. Nothing more, nothing less. We bring nothing to earth, we will take nothing when we leave. What will people say about us long after we are gone? That's what we should focus on doing now". The projects also involves the enlightenment in terms of sanitation best practices, essence of education and so on. Nothing beats being a source of the joy on the faces of people who have just received undiluted, practical, hands-on training.

4. Assurance: that the upcoming #EndHungerProject III will be much more amazing that the previous ones we have had. We have decided to have a touch of Christmas with this one. Ever imagined what it feels to live in a community with no electricity, motor-able road, television? I bet you know they most likely would not know who 'Father Christmas' is. We intend to give every child present that day a special something to celebrate the festive season with. I believe you, just like me is assured of the awesomeness of that plan.

5. You: need to know that the #EndHungerProject III will be coming up at 10:00AM on the 19th December, 2015.
